Chattering monkeys

The Journal of Young Investigators isn't an online magazine for junior sleuths and Sherlock Holmes wannabes - it's an undergraduate, peer-reviewed, science journal.

I was intrigued by this article on meaningful combinatorial signalling in Putty-nosed monkeys.

Those monkeys are chattering rather than chatting but the research has some bearing on theories of language development in early human species.

Check it out.
