Battle for Basra

David Price at Dean's World gives a righteous fisking to media reports puffing up Muqtada al-Sadr's "triumph" in Basra.

Like Armed Liberal says: I don't think winning sides in battle make many offers.

Still, I haven't read anything on the conflict in Basra that gives a clear and credible picture of the situation on the ground. So who knows?
