I don't know where Lovelock is getting his information (maybe he's channelling Gaia) - but he's certainly in an apocalyptic mood. Here are a couple of his more outlandish predictions:
"[A]s the century progresses, the temperature will rise 8 degrees centigrade in temperate regions and 5 degrees in the tropics."And
"[B]efore this century is over billions of us will die and the few breeding pairs of people that survive will be in the Arctic where the climate remains tolerable."This isn't climate science, it's New Age Millenarianism.
